Overnight Oats

Oh em gee. Overnight Oats are probably one of the best things to come into my life. Some of my favorite things about them are that they are packed with nutritional value, are so easy to put together, quick to grab in the morning + you can mess around with so many different flavor combinations! This morning, I had strawberry coconut overnight oats…yes I did! Below I will share with you a few of my favorite kinds. Feel free to share your favorites with me, too! I’m always looking for new, delicious mixes.

[Ingredient Base for All Overnight Oats]:

• 1/2 cup oats [I use quick, a lot of people like them less chewy + prefer old fashioned oats – preference really, so test it out + see what you like best]

• 1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk

• 1 tbsp. chia seeds

[Strawberry Coconut]:

• splash of 100% maple syrup [you can substitute this for honey, agave nectar, etc.]

• 1 tbsp. unsweetened coconut flakes

• 6-8 strawberries, diced

[Banana Nut]:

• splash of 100% maple syrup

• cinnamon, to taste

• 1/2 banana, sliced

• 1 tbsp. chopped walnuts

[Chocolate Strawberry]:

• splash of 100% maple syrup

• 1 tsp. cocoa powder

• 6-8 strawberries, diced

[Apple Cinnamon]:

• splash of 100% maple syrup

• cinnamon, to taste

• 1/2 apple, cored + diced

• 1 tbsp. chopped walnuts

[Directions]:

1. To create the base, put oats in mason jar, add chia seeds + top with milk.

2. Add your seasonings and sweetener [if desired].

3. TIP: don’t add your fruit or nuts until the day-of. They tend to get mushy overnight + may not be as pleasant to eat.

4. Grab + go in the morning.

5. Devour!
